Outbreak! Swine Flu

swineflu

I’m sure you all have heard of the swine flu pandemic that has been spreading. U.S. health officials expressed concern that a swine flu virus that has infected eight people in the United States matches samples of a virus that has killed at least 68 people in Mexico. Swine flu outbreaks have been seen all over Connecticut, two students from Fairfield University have gotten their blood sent out to the CDC, one student at my school was sent to State hospital, and some cases in Connecticut public schools. I’m not taking any chances. I’ve heard someone say the swine flu “pandemic” is overrated. Really? Some people might say, “Ignorance is bliss.” …Until you have swine flu.

Facebook Virus

A social networking virus that’s been around for months is getting slicker.

The latest version of the “Koobface” worm sends an alleged message from a Facebook friend asking you to click on a link to a video. If you click, you see a page with a photo of your friend and are asked to download a player to watch the video. Do it, and you’ve got the virus — and someone else now has access to your computer.

The page that the link leads to. on the face of it is a very familiar looking spoofed version of YouTube, complete with bogus comments from “viewers”.
