Oil & Water Don’t Mix
“…and they said oil and water don’t mix,
now they all down at the beach washing off the fish…”
-Lupe Fiasco – “Pressure”
Happy Mother’s Day Mommy =)
Don’t you wish I was your son. [LOL] I’m just joking with that statement, but Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! She’s the best, even when she makes ANGRY >:O . I think she partially spoils me. If I didn’t have any reserve, she would try to get me anything I’d ask for, she’d do the same for my brother and sister as well, but I’d settle for less as long as I have her. Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! Enjoi your day!

Our 44th President
Barack Obama, (Artist: Concep)
Since we’re on the topic of the new administration I thought it’d be nice to see an illustration of Barack Obama by one of my favorite and/or admired artist, Concep.
Art Czar
I hardly ever talk about politics because I feel I don’t know enough to make any intellectual comments on the topics – which is why I haven’t touched on the recent inaugration of President Obama. However, post-election, I’ve been hearing on several accounts about art in the white house. For example, there has been talks about what the new 1st Lady, Michelle Obama, would do about interior decoration.
The most recent and interesting topic that is up in the air is, “Will Obama appoint an ‘Art Czar’?” Art in America hasn’t been priority like it is European countries. Yes, places like New York City and Los Angeles seems like thee place to be for the arts in America, but every European city is well-advanced in the arts than all of America. Sometimes I wish I had more culture and/or art in my history in comparison to the accomplished artist I read about. I would love for there to be more of a spotlight on art in America in the coming four years. The following article touches on the online petition for a Secretary of Culture and Art in Europe in comparison to America. It’s quite a long read but it’s worth the time invested.
