Fake Dragon

I been operating last minute lately, and lately it’s been good. I got to grab a bite with some friends from school – I lied and said I’ll put them up – they know who they are though. We ate, walked the promenade, around DUMBO, and back to EHS housing. Today was a good day. Laidback.

Anti-theft lunch bags

Nice little idea for anti-theft lunch bags to put off the usual studio fridge raiders. Available to buy here.

Panera!

Nic’ + I paired up for a late lunch at the other day. She thought it was long overdue since we hardly seen each other this semester. I suggested Panera since I wanted to try the ‘Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich,’ which was bang’n, and for a drink, I ordered a ‘Green Tea’ to complete my meal. I think Nic’ ordered the ‘Asiago Roast Beef’.

Good Eats: Take One

cali-tuna

(Pardon the cell phone pic) Initially I created “Good Eats,” the category, for times when I actually find good food. Obvious! I’m stuck in my ways when it comes to food, I eat what I know – I know what I eat. However, I knew it wouldn’t thrive for that long. Well, how could it? I don’t eat out often, if hardly, and the best food I eat, usually, is mom’s cooking. Any West Indians would already know whats on the dinner menu, those cultural delicacies. I’m trying to arouse my taste buds and get out more, eat different foods, experience different cultures, etc. This weekend I started off on a good foot. Friday, I made a second trip to the Publick Cup, in downtown New Haven, and enjoyed a toasted California Tuna: lemon and caper tuna salad (no mayo) with ripe avocado and fresh mozzarella on multigrain bread. With a Savannah… I’ll formally introduce the Savannah in a later post.

Don’t just scroll up/down to the next post, click the link and read =)

Cafe Habana

Habana_Outpost_v3_460x285

Also, stop by Cafe Habana if you happen to be around the SoHo/Lower East Side section of Manhattan for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or take out. I’ll be planning a date over there sooner than later, I can be quiet the food/culinary enthusiast if you didn’t know [LOL]. Last Thursday, I tried fried calamari in Shelton, Connecticut. For those who know me well, I ONLY eat chicken and fish, with the exception of shrimp and crab.

Good Eats!

chicken-tortilla_2Chicken Tortilla Bread Bowl Soup

Lunch at Panera Bread, good eats! The Chicken Tortilla bread bowl soup was delicious – very filling on the consumers end, worker-friendly/work efficient on the workers end, and eco-friendly, if you want to take it that far. After you finish your soup, you can eat the bread bowl as well. Less work for the workers, crafty.
