Cafe Habana
Also, stop by Cafe Habana if you happen to be around the SoHo/Lower East Side section of Manhattan for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or take out. I’ll be planning a date over there sooner than later, I can be quiet the food/culinary enthusiast if you didn’t know [LOL]. Last Thursday, I tried fried calamari in Shelton, Connecticut. For those who know me well, I ONLY eat chicken and fish, with the exception of shrimp and crab.

NY Straightforward
Hey all, Keep It Surreal Online is slightly taking a different turn, nothing drastic. We’re just going to shine more light on the design culture, being that I am a young designer, young designers like myself might be more inclined to check it out, want to better their craft, or even get the chance to show off their work. I’m open to all ideas and any mediums of design. Especially if your in the tri-state area, SPEAK UP!
Check out NYSF after you leave here. NYSF is ran by two creatives from NYC, good friends of mine, Maine & Nell. Be on the look out for a Bizy DreamingxNYSF collaboration.

Some pictures from the Haitian Parade on Sunday that took place up Nostrand Ave. The marchers begin marching down the street from me, so I decided to get out and take some photos.
Red’s Friday Podplay
I haven’t created a new playlist in about 2 or 3 months, this being my first since then, and a ill playlist at that! I figured I share my splendor with some of the world. Usually I listen to R&B to put me sleep, but I’ve been listening to this throughout the week, on repeat. I was brought up in the care of a woman, so I’m led to believe, she comes first. This is a playlist the ladies and the fellas can enjoy.

I’ve been wanting these sneakers for the longest, maybe since September/October. You can find them at Urban Outfitters online, but never in this color. HELP!
These sneakers fit into my style of simplicity, one solid color, which can be accessorized with other pieces. Nicole keeps telling me I can’t go out and buy “outfits,” I need to buy things I can accessorize with. I got it now Nicole. LOL. Anyway, these sneakers are definitely on my shopping list, if I can ever find them.

From the maker of HELVETICA comes a new documentary that explores the stuff that surrounds us and the people responsible for it. Interviewing design-world stars who create objects for Apple, Muji, IKEA and others, the film looks at the inspiration at work behind everything from toothbrushes to hi-tech gadgets. In thoughtful and revealing conversations, some of the world’s most influential designers illuminate the process of making their ideas concrete, and the increasingly urgent need to find sustainable design solutions for the future.

Bizy Dreaming x Montage 2009
You haven’t seen one of these headline’s in awhile, Bizy Dreaming x “you”, or Bizy Dreaming x anyone else for that matter. I gave you an heads up a while back, that I’d be featured in a school publication, a publication, nevertheless. Anyway, it has arrived!!! I didn’t get what I wanted to be published, but I got something worthy of credit, so I’m excited about that. Next year, we are going for something better. I have a 3/4 page on page 18 for digital photography, check me out! This year’s edition of Montage is surprisingly far better than last year’s copy because more artists decided to step up. I have a few extra copies left from the ones I gave out, send me an email and we can work something out. Very limited copies!

Happy Mother’s Day Mommy =)
Don’t you wish I was your son. [LOL] I’m just joking with that statement, but Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! She’s the best, even when she makes ANGRY >:O . I think she partially spoils me. If I didn’t have any reserve, she would try to get me anything I’d ask for, she’d do the same for my brother and sister as well, but I’d settle for less as long as I have her. Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! Enjoi your day!

Baby Spike
Baby Spike! Ford started calling me Baby Spike as semester began to wind down and started to catch on – Doug, Ryan, Hersch, and I think Nic’. I decided to run with it ’cause Spike is a prominent figure in our culture and I wouldn’t mind my work being praised for its credit. Not only is Spike influential, he’s from Fort Green, in Brooklyn, and owns his own production company. Like that would be a surprise. Like Spike, I would love to have Harris-Williams-owned or related businesses in the future.
Happy Madre’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day to all those beautiful mother’s out there, as Jamie said, “you still got it.” I don’t know how Mother’s day was spent in any other households, but mine was dedicated to my grammy – she’s a strong, God-fearing woman and I love her so much. On Mother’s day, my mommy kind of put everything in retrospect, that even though my grammy faces so much adversity, she knows how to call upon the Lord for help. I can honestly say she was always religious. But what can you expect from a “old school” Jamaican. Even though I’m not as religious as I should be, I remember the first gospel song my grammy taught me, well us (my brother, sister, and cousins, as well), Can’t Even Walk. She deserves all that she was given on Mother’s Day, family, edible arrangements, roses, and ballons. Happy Mother’s Day! Enjoi your day ladies.

Happy Birthday Sade
Today is my cool best friend’s birthday. Happy Birthday Sade!!! She’s cool because she knows me [LOL], AND she has a Macbook. These past two weeks everyone has been having birthday’s, it ridiculous [j/k]. Everyone has been having birthday’s though, and today’s my bestie’s birthday. I don’t know how that word became so popular by the way. Anyway, I love her to death – I remember when we were younger, MUCH ANIMOSITY, and now she’s one of the most important people in my life. Happy Birthday Sade! Love you, Enjoi!
Check out a photo I did for her after the jump.

Happy Birthday Ford
Happy Birthday Ford, congratulations on being old! I never formally introduced you the Bizy Dreaming roster, but you’ll see who’s who in time. Anyway, it’s my boy Ford’s birthday today, he writes for the blog when time permits (he’s a good writer), and he’s the NYC-Long Island contact. Not too long ago, he gave me the name ‘Baby Spike,’ I’m running with that one, so when you see it, you already know. Show him love! He’s going to Towson next year to play football; good luck homie. You already know we’re out there. Happy Birthday! Enjoi!
