Neo-Contemporary Appeal
Bizy Dreaming is taking on a new font look to keep up with the most recent changes; the logo slightly changed so it makes sense for the typeface to change. I could be wrong, who’s to say I am or am not, but I feel like the entire Bizy Dreaming design is looking more neo-contemporary in each design. Feel free to contest that statement.
I like neo-contemporary!

Earth Day at grand Central – New York City
- Announcing the much anticipated EarthFair 2009 at Grand Central Terminal in New York City! On Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th Earth Day New York will once again transform five city blocks in the heart of Manhattan into a festival of music, environmental education, and fun.Renovations have been completed at Grand Central Station and as a result EarthFair will have both indoor (Vanderbilt Hall) and outdoor (Vanderbilt Avenue) venues, making ’09 the biggest and best EarthFair yet.

The order came in this morning at 9:39am; I’m feeling great. The shirts weren’t exactly how I wanted, but I’m still beyond reality right now. I won’t give you the satisfaction or dissatifaction of what was wrong, however it’s really miniscule.

Design Methods 110
Let me not forget the ultimate purpose of this blog; the time spent building the dreams. Thanks for all the support. Right now, I’m doing some freelance work, a logo design for a marketing luxury real estate company based in New York. I have a couple ideas in mind for the project, but I need to be as professional as the next. Start a design process – I decided to do research. New portfolio entry coming soon.
Graphic Design distinctfully a unique profession. How many undergrads/grads are required to pick up an aesthectically beautiful book in the school bookstore or library for an upcoming assignment? Just as in your first design class, you do your research to finish a competing assignment. By competing, I mean, competition within the class, other designers.

Watch this phenomenal video to see a fully grown python kill and eat a deer. I find this interesting every-so-often. Life is so primitive in several aspects. I feel like I could write a paper showing how analogous human interaction with its environment, sociology, and wildlife, primitive behavior, can really be. Or maybe my mind is just wandering…
Seriously, are the many aspects of life Whit and Whimsy? In my design research I read, “Wit and Whimsy: intelligence, humor, double entendre, and folly.” From esoteric homage to downright goofiness, what is the intelligence and what is the goofiness in our lives?

What’s Your Ecological Footprint?
So I told you I been slowly assimilating my self into the “go green” lifestyle. I try to be more environmentally responsible; I recycle all my magazine subscriptions, bottles and cans I accumulate throughout the week – I’m turning off TV’s and other energy needy appliances, and so-on. April 22nd marks the Green Generation Campaign, I think everybody should try it.

THE GREEN GENERATION
Earth Day 2009, April 22, will mark the beginning of the Green Generation Campaign! This two-year initiative will culminate with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day in 2010. With negotiations for a new global climate agreement coming up in December, Earth Day 2009 must be a day of action and civic participation, to defend the Green Generation’s core principles: Family with windmills: Renewable energy for future generations.
- A carbon-free future based on renewable energy that will end our common dependency on fossil fuels, including coal.
- An individual’s commitment to responsible, sustainable consumption.
- Creation of a new green economy that lifts people out of poverty by creating millions of quality green jobs and transforms the global education system into a green one.
Earth Day
I saw this text effect tutorial through Good-Tutorials and I felt this image perfect fitting for the topic. I did the same effect/design with different text for a project at work today, which was also fitting for the content of the project. And I also admire the design as well as the simple steps in creating this effect.
Earth Day 2009 is just a month away and I’m getting a little excited. Slowly, I’ve been trying to assimilate myself into a “greener” lifestyle. I’m looking forward to some of the events throughout the city. Earth Day 2009, April 22, will mark the beginning of the Green Generation Campaign!

Near Luxury
Volkswagen CC, MSRP $26,790
A luxury-inspired car with a reasonable price tag, it’s a buyers market. “Volkswagen coined the term ‘near luxury’ for its CC.” Debuting at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, clearly not a coup, but that’s what Volkswagen is calling it. The CC is based around the existing Passat, sharing platform, drive and much more, but the CC appears lower, sleeker – sportier. Let’s simulate the economy!

Armory Week Marathon
Armory week is the biggest art event all year for New York City. Galleries come from all over the world, set up temporary booths in huge warehouse spaces, and sell the work of their artists. If you didn’t make it to Armory Week in New York City no worries. Asya Geisberg made it, has written a review and included a lot of photos. Even if you did go, you probably didn’t see everything. This year there were four main fairs: The Armory, Scope, Pulse, and Volta. Asya also covered Vanessa Beecroft’s performance piece and after parties.

Despite the millions of albums sold, and the skyscraper amount of mixtapes he’s released, self-proclaimed “BEST RAPPER ALIVE” Lil’ Wayne has yet to win a Justo Award. For those of you who are not so hip hop fluent, Justo’s Mixtape Awards are given to the artist(s) who receive the most votes in categories ranging from Mixtape Artist of the Year, to Mixtape Graphics Designer of the Year. With the on-going debate on who really is the best, this fun fact makes the argument just a little more interesting.

“I Stay Coogi’d Down to the Socks”
Today marks the 12th year anniversary of Christopher “Frank White” Wallace’s death. Wallace, best known as Biggie, Biggie Smalls, BIG, Notorious B.I.G, released his debut album in 1994, Ready To Die. He was a central figure in the East Coast hip-hop scene and increased New York’s visibility at a time when hip hop was mostly dominated by West Coast artists.
On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc set Life After Death, released fifteen days later, hit #1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000. Wallace was noted for his “loose, easy flow”,dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Since his death, a further three albums have been released. MTV ranked him at #3 on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time.[Because of his success and influence on music, he has become a cultural icon.
